Westport under 14 A team

Monday nights semi -final between Swinford, and Westport was played in the true spirit of Gaelic football, with both teams, playing a lovely clean game of football. , The colours of both teams gleamed in the evening sunshine.

Westport were first to find the uprights,, scoring 2 points.  Not for long, Swinford, responded with a goal.  The game was very, tight for the first 20 minutes. , Eventually, Westports constant pressure saw the ball in the Swinford, net, three times by half time.

From the restart Swinford were keen to, assert their authority on the game with a good point from play but the Westport, girls kept a lid on the game.  They held, steady and their backs were solid not giving away soft frees.  Eventually goals from, Ciara Moran, Sarah, Hogan, Saoirse Ludden, Lisa Smith and Niamh OGrady gave Westport a comfortable, margin.
