Westport GAA goes global

Westport GAA club has launched a new state-of-the-art website www.westportgaa.com this week as part of the clubs three year development plan.  Westport natives at home and abroad will now have access to match results and reports, club news, match fixtures, lotto results, player profiles, club history and much more at their fingertips every week be they in Aughagower or Auckland.

,

Club PRO Tom Reynolds stated at the launch of www.westportgaa.com that this new club development would be a very worthwhile venture and something that would be warmly welcomed by all the club supporters, past players and club members around the world.

,

“The site will be updated every week, their will be lots of interesting local GAA notes, Westport snippets and Gaa features on the site and we hope that people will log on now and keep in touch with us where ever they might be,” he stated.

,

The site, which is now up and running and available live on the world wide web has been kindly sponsored by Westport business man Austin O’Malley from O’Malley’s Carpets, Bedding and Furniture store on the Castlebar Rd., Westport.

,

“I’m delighted to support Westport GAA as they are providing a great sporting outlet for so many youngsters in the area every week.  The club is also developing a new Astro Turf facility at their grounds on the Newport road at present and that will be another massive benefit to the entire community when completed this spring,” O’Malley stated.

,

Club Cathaoirleach Seamus Moran thanks Anthony Walsh who developed the site and Piaras Ó Raghallaigh for all his assistance too. He said www.westportgaa.com was innovative, modern, and very easy to use.

,

“The site will cover all our club activities every week including news and updates on our football teams, hurling panels, ladies gaa, camogie team, Bord na nÓg, club history, contact details, club pictures, Scór activities and lots more,” he said.
