Westport and Castlebar latest under 16B game was a thriller with a draw the correct result at the end of the game.A Richard O’Malley goal gave Westport an early lead.Sean Tierney and Mikey O’Brien added two  points each for the Westport side.Castlebar took control and added two goals to their points tally of nine points to lead by eight points  with twenty minutes to go.Goals by Alan Kennnedy following good work by Ben Doyle, Isaac Brickenden, Michael Gallagher,Mark Reilly, Padriac O’Haire and Andrew Ferson cloed the Castlebar lead to two points. Darragh Walsh moved to midfield to support the great effords of Donal Moran and Aaron O’flaherty.Castlebar scored another goal but the Westport boys did not give up.Fearghal Sammon pointed for Westport to narrow the lead again.Killian Kilkelly and Eoin Conway continued to combine with  great passing movements to set Sean Tierney up for his goal to draw the sides level on a final score of Castlebar 3 -11 to Westport 4 – 08.  The Westport team was – Darragh Walsh, Ben Doyle, Isaac Brickenden, Michael Gallagher, Mark Reilly, Padraic O’Haire, Andrew Ferson, Donal Moran, Aaron O’Flaherty, Killian Kilkelly, Eoin Conway, Mikey O’Brien (0-02), Richard O’Malley (1-01), Fearghal Sammon (0-01), Sean Tierney (1-02), Alan Kennedy (2-02)
