Another Title for Westport Ladies

Westport’s Under 14B Ladies  lost in their semi-final clash against louisburgh on Monday nite last the 30th of July.  It was a good game of football in the first half with Louisburgh  only up by a point 0-7  to Westports 1-3 at the half time break. But the westport girls tried and failed to keep up  the momentum in the second half, there was some great individual play and their captain Mairead Dever led by example, so did backs A. Carroll, L. Mortimor, E Gibbons. Half back Roisin Corcoran is one to watch for the future as would be Aoife Heneghan and Rebbecca  Heraty. It was a tough match and great credit to the girls for not giving up. It has to be said that this is the first season for some of these girls so the future of Westport Ladies looks good.  Well done to Louisburgh who were deserved winners on the day.  , , Final Score Louisburgh  2-16  Westport 2-03, ,  , , , , Westport Under 14A Ladies Win The Treble., , Last Monday evening the 30th July in Ballyheane, WestportLadies under 14 A team were crowned Mayo under 14A Championship winners.Having previously won the Mayo Féile cup, the Division 1 league cup the girlsin blue were determined for a clean sweep.
