Westport Ladies Under 11’s travel to Ardnaree, Westport’s large squad of U11s travelled to Ardnaree last Saturday morning (14 July 2012) to participate in their second U11 Blitz this season- hosted by Kilmoremoy. , , , Westport played their first game against the hosts at 11.30am and it was non stop action for the next three hours. In total they played four games against other teams including Louisburgh, St. Brigids and Knockmore. , , The emphasis of the Blitz was fun and participation by all players throughout the games. All girls played their hearts out and did themselves, their club and families very proud. Well done to all the girls who took part in the Blitz- keep up the great work. , , Many thanks to all parents who travelled to the Blitz and a special thank you to Kilmoremoy Ladies Gaelic FC for a well organised and enjoyable day for all.,  , , Westport Under 14B girls played Kilmoremoy A on Wednesday evening Last in thier first game of the championship., The Westport Girls faught hard and scored 2 points in the first half but they didnt capitalize on possession that they had in front of the goal for the first 15 minutes., Kilmoremoy had more strength and experience than the Westport girls and it showed in the second half, as Kilmoremoy bet Westport 4-07 to 0-02.,  , Westport Under 14A, Played Chalestown in thier 3rd meeting of the year, as they had aleady meet in the league with Chalestown going home the victor and the League Final where Westport Ladies Brought Home the Cup.  For that reason this game was going to be a hard one to call.  It started well in Westports favor as the usual suspect, Saoirse Gannon popped over 2 points.  It was Westport in front for the majority of the game as they kept the heat up as fom experience they knew that Charlestown could turn the game around.  But Westport Girls held on to the game and came out with a good result., Final Score  Westport 7-09 Charlestown 6-05  ,  , Westport Junior Ladies, Played thier nieghbours Louisburgh at home on Friday evening last.  It was a glorious evening for football as the sun shone in Westport., From the start Westport Ladies knew that this was going to be a difficult task as Louisburgh were topping the Division 3 table, but that did not stop the girls from trying, and at half time they were only four points behind.  The second half started with both teams making a few changes which led to Westport scoring some lovely points and narrowing the margin.  But this was’nt sufficient as Louisburgh went home the victors., Final Score Louisburgh 3-11  Westport 2-10,
